The daughter of the elderly woman, who was mistreated by the workers of the Center for the Aging in Peja, expressed her shock about the case. In a statement for Ekspress Newspaper, the young woman says that her mother is in serious condition and that she herself is also not well emotionally.

"We are terrified," says the girl.

The first to face the violence against the elderly woman was her husband. He says he immediately alerted the police as soon as he saw the video.

"I have informed the police of Gjakova, it seems they have arrested her, let's see now who she is, why that violence was used," said the son-in-law of the elderly woman to RTV Dukagjini.

The employee who abused the elderly woman in the nursing home in Peja is Aurona Pelaj. She appears in the footage published on the network, as she beats the elderly woman and mocks her. While her colleagues film her and laugh. The identities of the latter have not yet been clarified.

Pelaj was put in handcuffs together with another person, while the other two employees at the nursing home in Peja were put under investigation.
