The Israeli army has entered Lebanon. This was announced by the US Department of State, specifying that "limited ground operations focused against Hezbollah's infrastructure near the border are currently underway."

Lebanese authorities have announced that the army has repositioned troops in the south of the country to face the ground offensive.

According to Israeli television 'Kan', Israeli tanks have already entered Lebanon. There were simultaneous airstrikes and massive artillery attacks against Hezbollah positions in the border village of Wazzani, near Ghajar.

"It is not clear on which front the operations are concentrated", - reported the Israeli television 'Kan'.

 While according to the Israeli media "Haaretz, IDF forces are firing tanks and artillery in some areas of southern Lebanon.

At the moment, neither the Israeli army nor any local institution has confirmed the launch of a ground invasion in southern Lebanon.

 The Israeli army spokesman urged residents in Arabic to leave their homes in the Hezbollah-controlled area of ​​southern Beirut.

Israel has informed the United States of "a number of operations," including ground operations in Lebanon. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed this at a press conference.

"They notified us. "At this moment, limited operations are being conducted focused on Hezbollah's infrastructure near the border, but we are in constant dialogue with them about this," the US official said.
