The Government of Kosovo has reacted after cyber attacks on government systems and Telecom of Kosovo. 

Through a response to the media, it is said that the cyber attack was of the DDoS type that caused occasional obstacles in the Internet service within government institutions and occasional lack of access to some government services.

The government informs that with the application of appropriate measures, the cyber attack has been overcome and attempts to continue the attack have been prevented.

During the past week, at certain periods of time, government systems have been faced with a DDoS cyber attack that has caused occasional interruptions in internet service within government institutions and occasional lack of access to some government services.

During the periods of the attack, the cyber security team at ASHI is committed to the maximum so that the impact of the attack on the accessibility and functionality of the services is as small as possible.

In cooperation with external experts, with the application of adequate measures, the cyber attack has been overcome and attempts to continue the attack have been prevented. All government services are fully accessible and there are no obstacles in their operation. During this cyber attack, at no time were the data stored in the State Data Center within the Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo compromised.
