The Government of Kosovo has decided to close the home for the elderly in Peja "Orenda". The decision to revoke the license was taken by the Ministry of Finance.

This decision comes after the abuse of the elderly Minire Nure with slaps and kicks in that asylum by the nurse Aurona Pelaj, while the other two nurses Altina Rexhepi and Remzie Kuqi were recording the scene and having fun.

The event happened a few days ago, but the shocking images were published on Wednesday and shocked the public opinion in Kosovo and Albania, as the three girls were arrested by the Police.

"After the publication of the images of the physical attack on the elderly woman in the subject "Orenda" in Peja, the Social Services Inspection Unit has made an immediate inspection of the scene, as well as interviewing the staff of the center and the witnesses of the case.

With the completion of the inspection report, it was submitted today to the Licensing Commission, which held an emergency meeting where a decision was made to revoke the license for the provision of social services to the entity "Orenda".

"According to the decision of the Commission, the entity in question is obliged to notify the residents' families about the decision within a period of 24 hours, and by November 7 (Monday) it is obliged to submit the license and close the activity of providing social services" , the announcement states.
