A serious event shocked Kosovo a few days ago, where the young man from Peja, Urim Hyseni, killed his mother Hyrije Hyseni in a macabre manner, cutting off her head and drinking her blood. The cause of the conflict was the dispute that the boy had with his mother for some time, whom he accused of being the cause of his separation from his wife.

In today's court session, the court of Peja left Hysenin in prison, as his lawyer requested that his client undergo a psychiatric examination due to the statements he gave during the conversation they had.

Asdren Mekaj told the media in Kosovo that during the conversations he had with his client, he told him several reasons that pushed him towards the macabre crime.

"I was forced by the Russian information service", "I am the messenger of the prophet", "I have saved Albania" and "I am the new Skënderbeu", were some of the words that came out of the young man's mouth.

For this reason, the lawyer said that the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Peja has requested that the 30-year-old undergo a psychiatric examination.

"Twice the Prosecutor's Office tried to interview my client, but it was not possible due to his serious mental and health condition. Because of the lack of genuine communication between me and the client, in addition to preventing me from offering an effective defense, in accordance with the Code of Ethics and in fulfillment of the fundamental right enjoyed by every person suspected of a crime, regardless of I deeply believe that it is very necessary for him to undergo a psychiatric examination", he told the local media.
