Kemal Kilicdaroglu, Turkey's opposition leader, reacted after losing Sunday's presidential election to Erdogan, according to Turkish media results, which have not yet been made official.

In a statement from the headquarters of his CHP party, Kilicdaroglu thanked those who trusted him and voted for him in these elections, while saying that "the march will continue". He also had accusations against his rival.

"From now on, I want to see the 25 million Turks who voted for me not to be disappointed. Our march continues, we are here. We are a family. The state was put at the service of one man. I want to thank our voters who expressed their convictions in a climate of fear," Kilicdaroglu said.

Earlier, Erdogan declared victory and thanked the voters. "Thank you very much. I wish to express my gratitude to my nation for giving us a day of democracy. I would like to thank all my citizens who showed their will by going to the ballot box. I thank everyone who entrusted us with the responsibility of governance for the next 5 years. The winners of these elections are 85 million Turkish citizens", Erdogan is said to have said to his supporters.
