Turkey votes today, in the second round of the runoff for the presidential elections.

After voting, the two candidates, the current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the candidate of the opposition coalition, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, called for widespread participation in the voting.

In Antalya's Konyaalt, commissioners were surprised to see a newly married couple heading to the polling station.

The couple Irem and Orhan Veli Akyuz had set the 14th for their wedding ceremony. But when this very date was announced, as the first round of elections in the country, they postponed the wedding to May 28. Coincidentally, once again, on the date set for the coronation, there would be elections in the country. Already determined, they chose to do both in one day. First the wedding and then the voting.

Dressed in a white dress, Irem entered the secret room to make the choice for the next president of the country.

"I am very happy. Good luck to us," she said.

"We postponed the ceremony because it coincided with the first elections. After voting, we will go to the wedding hall. Good luck to our country. We have done our civic duty", said Orhan to the media.
