Hamas has declared that it has released two American citizens who were being held hostage in Gaza.

A spokesman for the terrorist group announced the release of the hostages this Friday.

Initial confirmation of the hostage release also came from Fox News reporter Trey Yingst, reporting from Israel, and Israeli journalist Almog Boker, who said the two freed hostages were mother and daughter.

The Israeli hostage center has also confirmed the release of two hostages. Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida said the hostages were released for "humanitarian reasons".

He said the decision came in response to Qatar's mediation efforts and to "prove to the American people and the world that the claims made by Biden and his fascist administration are false and baseless."
