NEW/ WhatsApp, now you can use two accounts on one phone!

Mark Zuckerberg has announced that it will soon be possible to have two WhatsApp accounts to access simultaneously from the same phone.

This feature is useful for people who need to switch between accounts, for example from work to personal, and who don't have to log out every time, carry two phones or worry about sending a message from the "wrong account" .

The new feature will be available starting with the Android version in the coming weeks.

Once activated, you can click on the app's settings page and then click on the arrow next to the name to find the "Add account" option, reports Ansa.

Each account will have its own privacy and notification settings, so you can choose to receive alerts from one and not another, perhaps if you don't want to hear from work or company when you're on vacation.

The new feature follows an update from the beginning of the year, thanks to which it is possible to have the same account on the platform on multiple devices, smartphones, tablets and computers, with a limit of five logins in total.

As Meta explains, to create a second account, the user will need a second phone number and another SIM card or a phone that supports multiple SIMs or eSIMs, i.e. digital cards.

"We remind you to use only the official version of WhatsApp and do not download imitations or fake versions to use multiple accounts on your phone. Your messages are safe and private only when you use the authentic application," the note said.

It is worth remembering that some smartphone manufacturers already allow you to create two separate accounts for some applications and social networks. For example, Samsung, with the "Double Account" function currently active for WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype and Messenger.
