GREECE IN ELECTION/ Citizens vote for the new government, 7 Albanians are also

Everything is ready in the 21,529 voting centers to welcome about 9.8 million voters, who will vote today for the election of 300 deputies of the Greek Parliament for the period 2023-2027. Out of 9.8 million voters, about 400 thousand are new voters.

From 7 am to 7 pm voters can exercise their right to vote. The procedure can be extended if the judicial representative finds that there are still citizens waiting to vote at a polling station.

Citizens who turn 17 within 2023 and are registered in the electoral lists of the municipalities have the right to vote in the May 21 elections.

Abroad, the election process went smoothly with 22,825 immigrants exercising their right to vote for the first time in their place of residence.

Seven members of the Albanian immigrant community, who have been living in the neighboring country for years, are participating in the parliamentary elections on May 21 in Greece.
