New details have emerged from the tragedy that occurred a month ago in Greece, where after the collision between two trains, 57 citizens lost their lives, among them young people from Albania who lived and studied in the Greek state.
Recently, an audio has been released, where you can hear how two railway drivers get confused with each other shortly before the accident.
The Greek media "Zougla" has published an audio, in which the communication of the traffic manager of OSE Athens is heard, together with the manager of the station who was on duty at the time of the tragedy.
In this audio, Vassilis Samaras (director of the station), says to Pantelis Koukas (director of OSE): I'm going to let 63 go because people are screaming that he's late...
Koukas then tells him: Ok, it's done…
But only a few moments later, he seems to have realized that the train has entered the wrong tracks, and says in an alarming tone: Yooo!
But apparently, the station master left his position and did not continue the communication, to make it possible to stop the train and avoid the tragedy.
"Zougla" writes that this very important audio will now be made available to justice and competent bodies, while raising doubts that the audio was not published before to cover the responsibility of the persons related to this event.
