German court sentences Besar Nimani's killer to life in prison

A court in Germany has sentenced Huseyin Akkurt, the perpetrator of the murder of Albanian boxer Besar Nimani, to life imprisonment.

The Bielefeld court announced that the defendant, together with another person, had well-planned the murder of Niman, shooting him with 16 bullets.

The suspect in the co-perpetration of this murder is on the run.

There was a request for life imprisonment for the suspect from both the Nimani family's defense attorney and the District Prosecutor's Office.

Nimani was killed on the evening of March 9 last year, as he was leaving a restaurant in Bielefeld, Germany.
