Brazil court blocks Elon Musk's social network 'X'

Brazil's Supreme Court has ordered the "immediate and complete suspension" of "X," once Twitter, in the country.

In a statement, the court said it would ban the social media platform until "X" agrees to all court orders and pays existing fines.

Judge Moraes, who has been involved in a long-running debate with "X," had given the social media platform 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative or face suspension, with a deadline until Thursday night.

The platform is expected to be unavailable in the country within the next 24 hours, the BBC reports.

Brazil accuses Musk of failing to comply with their demands to block some X accounts, which it claims spread disinformation.
