The leader of the largest Greek opposition party, Stefanos Kasselakis, will crown his love affair with Tyler McBeth in marriage today, in a ceremony that will take place in the Botanical Garden of Crete.

About 130 guests are expected to be present on the terrace, which has strategic views of the 200-hectare property and the amphitheater of a small artificial lake.

Although the couple's original plan was to invite 150 exclusively family and friends, they eventually decided to reduce the number.

The organization of the ceremony was not undertaken by the officials of the Botanical Garden, but by a wedding planner from the USA.

At the reception that will be held immediately after the ceremony, guests will have the opportunity to taste Cretan cuisine, with a menu that includes Mediterranean dishes, specifically lamb, handmade bread, cheese products, of course marato pie, honey, local wines from island vineyards, Cretan gin-based cocktails, of course brandy, but also homemade lemonade.

Tonight there will also be background music, while the party in Akrotiri and walks on the sea are not excluded. Guests will enjoy the coast from a luxury villa in the Akrotiri area with a breathtaking view of the Aegean and the only dissonant sound of fighter jets from the nearby military airbase tearing through the skies from time to time.

But the wedding party will not take place only on earth. The couple are said to have hired a boat to take their guests to Chania's iconic beaches, possibly including a sightseeing pilgrimage to Stavros, where the famous scene from the Anthony Quinn movie Zorbas was once filmed.

The dinner of Stefanos Kasselakis and his husband will be with a view of the White Mountains, in an idyllic setting among olive groves. The celebrations kicked off on Wednesday and Stefanos Kasselakis, accompanied by his husband, arrived at the popular Pallas bar in Chania's old port, where they hosted dinner for their guests on the roof, with draconian security measures in place.
