Fear of sanctions, Russian trucks are fleeing the EU

A long row of trucks has been created on the Poland-Belarus border, while Russian and Belarusian drivers are trying to leave European Union space following the decision to extend sanctions.

Sanctions come into force starting at midnight Saturday, sunday.

The truck convoy's turn went up to 80 kilometres to the border between the two countries, while many leaders have been waiting for about two days for customs and control procedures to pass.

The EU has banned trucks from Russia and Belarus, in addition to those carrying medicines, mail trucks or oil products.
