FBI investigators raided the home of Scott Ritter, a controversial character in the United States, considered by many to be a tool of Russian propaganda in the West.
A NewsChannel 13 photographer captured video of agents searching and photographing both vehicles at the property in Dover Drive, Delmar.
Agency spokeswoman Sarah Ruane confirmed they were searching the home, but would not provide details on the investigation.
Ritter was iraq's chief arms inspector. He was found guilty in 2011 of engaging in an online sexual conversation with a person in Pennsylvania who claimed to be a 15-year-old girl, according to Reuters. Ritter was actually talking to a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department.
Ritter is also a strong voice for Vladimir Putin's policies on the social network "X", supporting his war in Ukraine, as well as his extremist stances towards Kosovo, stating in television interviews that Serbia should not give up on Kosovo.
