Turkish media reports that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan encountered microphone problems during his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York.

Specifically, as the Turkish president was speaking about Palestine and the massacre and violence that continues with unabated intensity in Gaza by Israel, the audio stopped.
This interruption of the audio angered the Turkish media, which called it "deliberate sabotage."

But then, in a statement to the media, Turkey's Communications Directorate reacted, clarifying that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was not interrupted during his speech on Palestine, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

"Speech by Heads of State and Government is given 5 minutes, while other speakers are given 3 minutes," the announcement states.

Noting that, as with other heads of state, President Erdogan's limit was five minutes within this framework, the directorate said that "it is not the case that the President was not allowed to speak or that his words were interrupted during the speech."

Noting that there were interruptions due to applause at several moments while President Erdogan was speaking, the directorate further said that the microphone was automatically turned off at the end of the fifth minute, according to technical procedures.

"The President concluded his speech immediately thereafter. Similarly, the microphone of the President of Indonesia was also turned off in accordance with the same procedure," the statement added.

The High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, aims to intensify efforts towards the revival of a two-state solution and secure a path to peace.
