Gent Asani is the 28-year-old, who was executed with a bullet to the head in the yard of his apartment. The serious incident happened around 19:30 on Saturday afternoon, while the perpetrator(s) of the crime are still unknown.

According to the witnesses, the victim was returning home when he was shot in the head about 10 meters from the door of the house. He was taken to the hospital, but could not survive his injuries.

"Around 19:40 in SPB - Tetovo, it was reported that 28-year-old GA from Gostivari was brought to Gostivar Hospital "Ferid Murad", who was injured with an entrance-exit gunshot wound to the head. He was given medical aid, but he succumbed to his injuries. Measures are being taken to clarify the case" , the police announced.

A family member of the victim, who was a witness at the scene, narrated the moments of the crime.

He said that the deceased had contacted his family members a few moments before he was killed and then went home.

But as he was entering the yard, the 28-year-old man was shot.

"I was at home and suddenly we heard voices from the victim's house. I went out to the balcony and saw his mother crying next to the victim. He was lying on the ground. We ran and together with some other people hurried to send him to the hospital. After we delivered him to the emergency unit, a few minutes later they informed us that the victim had no signs of life", the  witness told Gostivari Sot.

His family members and relatives have stated that the young man was a calm person and had no enmity with anyone.
