The Pentagon sends "Hercules" to search for the missing submarine

A "Hercules" plane will fly over the area where the missing tourist submarine may be located since Sunday morning in the Atlantic Ocean. The news was announced by the Pentagon, which specified that the plane will start searching this Tuesday.

Earlier, two C-130 military aircraft participated in the search and rescue operations, but to no avail.

The tourist submarine, which made expeditions to the wreck of the Titanic, which is located about 3,800 meters at the bottom of the ocean, disappeared on Sunday morning, about 1 hour and 45 minutes after it had left the coast of Canada.

There were 5 people on board: British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, his son Suleman, British businessman and explorer Hamish Harding, French Navy diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet, who had made this trip before, as and the CEO of OceanGate, the company that owns the Stockton Rush submarine.

The massive air and sea operation continues since yesterday.

The tourist submarine has life resources for the entire crew up to 96 hours. Now the people inside it have 40 hours of oxygen left. That's why the searches are getting more and more intense.

At a news conference, US officials said the search for the submarine is very complex and that teams are racing against time.
