A serious incident took place in Turkey where a 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and then killed. According to the local media, it was learned that Khaled Haykand, the son of a Syrian jeweler who lives in Mersin, disappeared yesterday.
Immediately after the disappearance of the minor, an anonymous phone call was made to the home of the 12-year-old, where they demanded a ransom of 400,000 euros for his release.
It is learned that the kidnapper of the minor threatened the family that if they called the police then he would kill the boy. However, immediately after the phone call, the family members notified the police, who set in motion to find the young man.
Examining the available evidence as well as the camera footage, the police have come to the conclusion that the 12-year-old did not leave the building where he lived with his family, focusing the investigations there.
Unfortunately, Khaled was found dead in the basement of the building wrapped in a carpet and suspected of drowning.
The police focused their investigation on the building's administrator as he was the only one who had the keys to the basement. The citizen Hasan C, who is suspected of being the main author in the murder of the 12-year-old, was arrested.
