She woke up moments before she burned. The newspaper "The Times of India" has narrated the incredible story of Bujji Aamma, 52 years old, from Berhampur, in Ganjam district, in the federal state of Orissa.

The woman was severely burned in a fire that broke out in her home on February 1. She was taken to hospital with burns covering half of her body, she returned home but never recovered. Given her limited financial resources, her family was unable to provide her with the medical care she needed.

And so, seeing that his wife no longer opened her eyes, Sibaram Palo decided that she should be taken to the cremation ground in a hearse. "We thought she was dead and informed other relatives in the area to arrange a hearse to transport her body to the cremation ground," the man explained to the Indian newspaper.
