Considered to be the oldest house in Mitrovica, the apartment was engulfed in flames this evening.

Images of the fire that engulfed the apartment have spread on social networks, while the causes are still unclear. The damage caused to the ancient dwelling is suspected to be excessive.

The house of the Koroglu family, built in the Ottoman style of housing, is over 300 years old and declared a cultural monument. For years, the house was uninhabited, however it had preserved its character and remained unchanged, although surrounded by palaces and other modern buildings.
