A wedding in Egypt turned deadly when the groom collapsed and died while dancing with the bride.
Wedding guests even recorded on video the panic that ensued when Ashraf Abu Hakam, as the groom was called, fell while dancing with his bride, which happened in Aswan province last Thursday.
In the video, Hakam is seen holding his new wife's hand as they dance together in front of friends and relatives, waving sticks in a traditional Egyptian dance, moments before he collapsed.

Despite efforts to keep him alive, the groom could not. Doctors concluded that he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
The tragic incident quickly spread on Egyptian social media with hundreds of people expressing their shock and offering their condolences.
“He was full of life, smiling, enthusiastic about his future,” wrote one friend. “May God have mercy on him and grant him a place in the vastness of His paradise,” wrote another. Others recalled that only the day before they had celebrated his engagement, never imagining that the celebrations would turn into mourning within a few hours. “I worry about the bride, may Allah give her patience,” wrote another.
