DASH launches major verification operation: Over 55 million visas under
Marco Rubio and Donald Trump

The US State Department has launched a full review of over 55 million visas issued to all foreigners currently living in the US.

The news is reported by the Associated Press.

Authorities have warned that all visa holders are subject to constant scrutiny, with particular attention to any elements that could justify revocation and deportation. A particular focus will be on truck drivers.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote in a post on "X":

“Effective immediately, we will stop issuing work visas to foreign truck drivers. The increase in the number of foreign drivers on large trucks endangers American lives and undermines the income of American truck drivers.”

Since Donald Trump's return to the White House, the administration has taken tough measures and added new requirements for visa applicants, including requiring everyone to complete personal interviews.

The review of over 55 million visas includes checking social media accounts, police records of countries of origin, as well as any violations of US laws that may have been committed since transfer to the US.
