Fires in Klina, Kosovo

Several villages in the Municipality of Klina have been engulfed by fires. The flames have caused significant material damage.

Regarding the situation, the mayor Zenun Elezaj gave details. He said that he is in the field together with the director and director for Rescue and Emergencies, Qendr Millaku, and also in full coordination with the fire brigade teams.

"Firefighters are working non-stop to locate and control the fires. A special thanks goes to the teams of Klina, but also to those of Peja, Rahovec and Gjakova, which have come to the aid immediately and are making a valuable contribution," he wrote.

Elezaj called on citizens to be extremely careful and not to light candlesticks or garbage.

This is because, according to him, the risk of spreading fires remains great and can cause serious consequences for the property and life of citizens.

"The Municipality of Klina will continue to be engaged with all capacities to manage the situation and protect the safety of our citizens", wrote Elezaj
