American President Joe Biden has cast his vote, choosing to complete this process before election day on November 5.
He voted Monday at the Delaware State Department of Elections, not far from his home in suburban Wilmington, where many voters lined the streets to cast ballots.
Biden was seen chatting with voters as he waited in line to cast his ballot and even helped push an elderly woman in a wheelchair who was ahead of him. The president waited in line for about 40 minutes before casting his vote.
He handed the identification document to the employee of the voting center who said: "Joseph Biden is voting now."
The president cast his vote after emerging from a black curtain. Outside the polling place, Biden was asked if he thought the Democrats running against Vice President Kamala Harris would win.
"I think we will," he answered.
Harris, who Biden endorsed after dropping out of the race, is running to become the first black woman and the first person of South Asian descent to serve as president. Early voting in Delaware began Saturday.
