Even the Kosovo opposition has reacted strongly after the decision to cancel the meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo that was to be held today in Gjakovë.
The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, called the situation in the country alarming.
"Alarming! At a time when all Western allies are disappointed with the Government of Kosovo, we need Albania more than ever", wrote Krasniqi.
As the head of LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, described this decision as bad news for Albanians in Kosovo, Albania, the Valley, Macedonia and Montenegro.
He said that, unfortunately, Kosovo continues its journey towards isolation and loneliness.
"This time, like never before, we were left without Albania. We are and will be without each and every ally who stood with us at every difficult stage. This is not the Kosovo we had ever imagined", Abdixhiku wrote on social networks.
According to the head of the LDK, the collision course with the West of Kurti endangers the very citizenship of the Republic.
"Instead of behaving like a responsible Prime Minister, one who maintains partnerships and advances national causes towards the West, he brings crisis and isolation. His political adventure cannot be our popular representation. Kosovo needs friends. Kosovo needs strategic partners", concluded Abdixhiku.
A day ago, Prime Minister Rama stated in an extraordinary communication with journalists that in the conditions of worsening relations between Kosovo and the entire Euro-Atlantic community, the meeting between the two governments could not be held in the expected format.
