The Interparliamentary Conference "Strategic Agenda for EU Enlargement and Albania's Membership" will take place today in Tirana.

 Prime Minister Edi Rama will also be present at the event, who will deliver a welcoming speech. The conference will bring together representatives of Albanian institutions, the European Parliament and European parliaments.

Discussions will focus on the EU enlargement process, reforms, stability and Albania's path towards membership.

 The event will be welcomed by the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi; Prime Minister Edi Rama; EU Ambassador to Albania, Sofia Moreira de Sousa; Rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder, as well as other senior representatives.

Within the framework of the conference, three sessions will be held with the following topics:

* The EU enlargement agenda and Albania's path towards membership;
* Enlargement as a strategic factor for reforms, stability and security;
* Parliamentary leadership and commitment to advancing European integration.

The conference will be moderated by the Chairman of the Committee on Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, as well as by representatives of the parliaments of the participating countries.
