The Jeffrey Epstein scandal is becoming a hot topic in the upcoming midterm elections in the United States. At least 35 Democratic candidates in different states are using Epstein's connections in their campaign ads to attack Republican opponents.

Democrats accuse some of their rivals of trying to block the release of Epstein documents or of having connections to people close to the convicted sex offender. The attacks are also giving rise to a new campaign term: the “Epstein class,” used to describe people who Democrats say benefited from his connections and influence.

One of the most prominent names using the issue is Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff. He has attacked his Republican rival, Congressman Mike Collins, accusing him of voting against the release of Epstein's documents.

In Florida, Democratic House candidate Gay Valimont has attacked Republican Jimmy Patronis. Valimont accuses him of calling the Epstein investigation a “waste of time.” Patronis, however, has made a more complicated statement, saying the case has created a deadlock that has prevented Congress from dealing with other issues.

Former Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown is also using the issue in his campaign to return to politics. In some ads, Brown focuses on donations that his Republican rival, Senator Jon Husted, has received from billionaire Leslie Wexner.

Wexner, the former owner of Victoria's Secret, had a close financial relationship with Epstein and entrusted him with managing his wealth. One of Brown's ads claims that Husted took more money from Epstein's associates than any other politician in Washington and then voted against releasing the documents.

Another case that has attracted attention is that of Democratic candidate Jessica Killin, who is running in Colorado's fifth district against Republican Jeff Crank.

Its ad features Sky and Amanda Roberts, the brother and daughter-in-law of Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's most high-profile victims and one of Prince Andrew's main accusers. Giuffre passed away a few years ago.

In the video, Sky Roberts accuses Crank of covering up Epstein's crimes to protect Donald Trump and that he doesn't deserve to be in Congress. According to them, they have asked Crank to meet with them several times, but he has refused. They also accuse him of voting against the release of Epstein's documents when he had the opportunity.

The ads show that the Epstein case is increasingly becoming a political weapon ahead of the midterm elections. Democrats are trying to link the issue to Republican opponents, while Republicans face pressure to explain their voting, statements and past relationships.
