The 2024 budget is reviewed again, the income increases to 27 billion ALL

The Albanian government has revised the budget for 2024 for the second time, increasing revenues to the value of 27 billion lek.

The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, in an appearance for the media, announced all the sectors where funding will increase, from agriculture, education, health and the Ministry of the Interior.

"We have revised the 2024 budget, increasing the estimated income for this year to the amount of ALL 27 billion. These additional revenues are intended to be distributed in those sectors that have a high impact on social life and in those sectors that contribute more to the economic development of the country.

Specifically, we have increased additional funding for the Ministry of Agriculture by 500 million lek in order to support the farmers' grant scheme

250 million ALL for the Ministry of Health to finance primary and secondary care service projects

We have increased the funding for the Ministry of the Interior in the amount of 1.3 billion lek for the food compensation of the police, in addition to the additional working hours during the summer season.

We have increased the fund for the Ministry of Education to the extent of 300 million lek to reward athletes who have achieved good results.

We have also increased expenses for water supply and sewerage in the amount of 2 billion ALL. It will continue to be financed in infrastructure, whether national, local or rural".
