The Parliamentary Committee for Economy and Finance started reviewing the changes in the law "On Public Procurement", which brings a series of innovations to the tendering procedures. This includes disqualifying criteria for economic operators, starting from the declaration of beneficial owners, up to reference salaries for their employees.
Also, the draft law brings innovation in terms of the use of artificial intelligence in public procurement.
Meanwhile, during the discussions in the committee, attention was also paid to the companies participating in the competition, which are registered in fiscal havens and, as a result, the real owner is not recognized.
These changes come in order to further align the legislation with that of the European Union.
