On October 30, Women on Board Albania organized its first annual conference, where leaders from business, government, innovation gathered to share experiences and discuss the empowerment of women in leadership.
The conference focused not only on the achievements so far, but also on finding new ways to create equal opportunities for women in leadership roles.
Among the speakers was Fatbardha Rino, CEO of iutePay and board member of "Women on Board Albania".
Fatbardha emphasized how essential cooperation in the digital and fintech sectors is for the empowerment of women and economic growth. According to her, in small markets like Albania, building partnerships between sectors allows economies to reach the necessary scale to develop significantly.
Drawing on the experience with Myiute, the digital wallet application of the Estonian company iute, she highlighted how digital transformation can be achieved even in smaller economies when stakeholders come together around a common vision.
Fatbardha showed how fintech can directly support women's financial stability by providing easy tools to manage their finances, increasing autonomy and resilience.
The conference also highlighted iute's work with the Albanian government to promote electronic payments.
In closing, the common message was clear: building a resilient and inclusive economy requires everyone's commitment.
Empowering women through collaboration and digital finance is essential to shaping a brighter future for all.
