The large Spanish airline Iberia will establish a new airline between Madrid and Tirana.

The first flight will be carried out on March 28, 2024 with three flights per week.

According to a company statement published this Wednesday, the flights will be scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and the planes that will cover the route will have a capacity for 186 passengers.

This is the first regular flight of the Spanish airline to Tirana, after operating a series of charter lines contracted by the tour operator World2meet (W2M), belonging to the Iberostar Group, for the months of July and August.

Iberia's intention is to start with a seasonal route intended for the summer season, in which 32,364 seats will be offered, although airline sources told EFE that if they receive a good response from travelers, flights to Tirana could work throughout the year.

In addition, the Spanish airline will expand the offer of flights to Split and Zagreb (Croatia), the Sicilian city of Catania (Italy) and Ponta Delgada (Portugal), which will be extended from the period of July and August to April and October .
