Energy, OST demands a 45 percent increase in the transmission fee

The Transmission System Operator has requested an increase in the electricity transmission fee, which directly affects the final price paid by customers.

Referring to the application submitted to the Energy Regulatory Authority, the requested increase is 45%, going to 1.22 ALL/kWh from 0.85 ALL/kWh, which is currently.

The component that has influenced the submission of the request for a tariff increase, which is therefore followed by higher income for the public broadcasting company, is the purchase of energy.

The final decision on the increase or not of this fee belongs to the Regulatory Body, which decided to initiate the examination of the application. In case of approval, the impact of the new tariffs is mainly reflected in those businesses that have currently entered the liberalized energy market.

However, this is not the first time that OST has requested a significant increase in the transmission fee. Even in 2022, it was requested that the tariffs go to 1.47 ALL/kWh, but it was dropped by ERE, which set the level at 0.85 ALL/kWh, from 0.75 ALL/kWh, which was until April 2022.
