Elon Musk has managed to climb again to the top of the list of the richest people in the world. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the Tesla CEO has a fortune of about $197 billion, surpassing that of LMVH CEO Bernard Arnault, which is $187 billion.

The two "hundred-billionaires," a phrase used to label people with wealth over $100 billion, have been competing for the top spot for several months.

According to Bloomberg, Arnault's fortunes took a nosedive this week as his company's stock fell on Wednesday. Arnault passed Musk in December 2022 and his wealth increased significantly due to the increase in the value of the shares, driven by the increase in sales.

LVMH, one of the world's largest conglomerates, owns brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior and Celine.

Meanwhile, Musk's wealth has grown exponentially in recent years, largely from sales of the electric car he produces, the Tesla. His biggest asset there is stocks, according to Bloomberg he owns 13% of them.

In addition to Tesla, Musk is also the CEO of SpaceX and the owner of Twitter.
