The central and local governments have increased the stock of liabilities to businesses and citizens by about 9.3 million euros during the second 3 months of this year.
The official data of the Ministry of Finance show that from 9 billion lek that this stock was at the end of March 2024, at the end of June it seems to have reached the value of 9.9 billion lek or about 99 million euros.
Compared to the end of last year, the increase is recorded at about 2 billion ALL.
In the total of this amount, the central government takes 5.7 billion ALL, while the local government takes 4.1 billion ALL. What is noticeable is that the central government has increased the stock by 2.1 billion ALL, the local government has turned around, reducing the stock by about 1.3 billion ALL compared to March 2024.
As for the category of arrears, the largest weight is occupied by those for public investments, given that throughout this year there was a high number of open construction sites, to offer better services to citizens.
Specifically, investment liabilities reach the value of about 5 billion lek, where the highest stock is again registered in the central government.
On the other hand, the stock of liabilities for court decisions for unfair dismissals or business complaints, while it seemed to be registering a decline in the first 3 months of the year, has taken another turn. The central and local governments register a value of about 1.8 billion ALL, from 1.6 billion ALL that was recorded at the end of last year.
The "other" category accounts for nearly ALL 1.4 billion of the total liabilities from ALL 1.7 billion at the end of March 2024.
