The Transparency Board decided this Friday to increase the price of oil in the domestic market, while the government's decision to reduce excise duty by 20% has also come into effect.

According to the decision, a liter of diesel will be traded in the retail market at 224 lek, up from 218 lek previously, marking an increase of 6 lek.

Meanwhile, the price of gasoline remains unchanged at 181 lek per liter. Gas was not part of the decision-making at this meeting, which means that its price may be subject to fluctuations by market operators.

The Board announces that the new prices will enter into force immediately, starting at 20:00 on April 3, and will remain unchanged until the next decision, when market fluctuations will be reflected.

Among other things, the Board has called on all fuel trading operators, both wholesale and retail, to strictly implement this decision. In case of violations, suspension of activity is warned.
