From December 1, together with the pension, the elderly will be able to receive the bonus in the amount of 5 thousand lek. From the studio of the "Box to Box" show, the general director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado, also focused on the categories that will benefit.

For the next year, there are about 42 million dollars which will go to the indexation of pensions. We remind you that the reform undertaken in 2015 does not determine growth but only indexation based on the inflation rate. After almost 9 years, the Government is looking at the possibility of intervention in the scheme. In cooperation with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, the data so far are being analyzed to correct aspects that were not foreseen in the first phase, or that did not give the expected results.

Asked if the possibility of revising the benefit measure for retirees is being considered, the head of ISSH Hado said that the way the indexation will be determined will depend on the data that will be generated by the study, which is expected to be completed within this year. without revealing more details. However, in no case will the decision-making be retroactive, which means that current pensioners will not benefit from it.

Hado also stopped at the recognition of contribution years. By means of a decision, the possibility was created that for 84 enterprises and former cooperatives of the time in which documentation is missing, the years of work would be recognized automatically without the need for citizens to turn to the courts. The head of ISSH informed that there is relief for those citizens who worked in enterprises that burned down.

The contribution measure which is paid by the self-employed in agriculture remains a problem. The latter, Hado pointed out, pay many times less compared to the self-employed in the cities, but the benefit measure is the same, as it is covered by state budget funds. Despite the relief schemes applied year after year, the number of farmers who are insured continues to be at almost minimal levels.

In the reform approved in 2015, it was determined that in the following years a unification of the contribution value would be approved, but such a thing has not yet happened due to the financial impossibility of the farmers.
