Gjirokastra Police have provided information regarding the bombing attack last evening in the city, where the victim was citizen Beqir Devolli, 45 years old.

The latter lost his life during transportation to Tirana for more specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the passenger, citizen EM, 26 years old, resident of Gjirokastra, is in hospital, out of danger.

 Following the preliminary information provided yesterday evening, regarding the explosion of a moving "Benz" vehicle, suspected to have been caused by explosives, resulting in injuries to the driver and passenger, we inform you that the driver of the vehicle, citizen BD, 45 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, lost his life during transportation to Tirana.

The passenger, citizen EM, 26 years old, resident of Gjirokastra, is in hospital, out of danger. In the preliminary information, he was identified with the initials RM.

The investigative team continues to work on the legal documentation of the case, the identification and capture of the perpetrator(s).
