The desecration of Mit'hat Frashëri's grave is one of the desecrations that Albanians do to their figures and even to their work.
It started with the blowing up of Ahmet Zogu's mother's grave by the partisans who had just entered Tirana, to continue later with the remains of Gjergj Fishta.
With the fall of communism, the exhumation of former communist leaders began. Who remembers those years, remembers the television chronicles directed by Skënder Buçpapaj where the news took up half the time with funerals and funerals, making RTSH a special type of television, like a funeral agency station.
In addition to this, there was also the process of vandalizing the monuments. And in this tradition, we cannot forget the economic damage of billions of dollars with the destruction of plants, factories, railways, warehouses, armaments and the structure of the army, to continue with that of the superstructure, as was the dismantling of institutions.
All this is not the work of ideological fanatics. Those who initiate and stimulate destruction are not ignorant. In fact, today Albania is a field where only restaurants and cafes flourish, while the industry is represented only by a handful of piranha oligarchs who absorb the budget and what remains of this country's assets.
The rest of the country in the trenches of World War II, no one else cares, only those who are interested in the destruction of this country.
World War II was a titanic conflict that fragmented the world for decades to come. The revenge of the winners against the losers was understandable, a process which in the world lasted almost ten years. We Albanians pushed it until the fall of the Berlin Wall. But its extension in Albania until today is nothing more than deliberate. Albanian political parties that no longer have any ideological identity justify their existence by lining up in that war.
"Only the dead have seen the end of a war" is a quote by George Santayana, but in Albania they have turned the land into a zombie land where the dead continue to fight and the wise flee.
And under the slogan of continuing the war, we have destroyed the country morally and physically.
The world war ended in 1945. The accounts were washed and washed. The losers seem to be at peace with themselves that they were on the wrong side and can't win back on the keyboard what they lost on the platforms. But the winners must gather their minds and look forward, as past glory is not enough to build the future. The parties should calm down and look forward as the world is not waiting for them to settle their grandparents' accounts. The review of the characters of that time is the moment to be done by historians and not thrown as food for political dogs.
The past must be seen in relation to what its characters have done for the nation, without forgetting that none of them is without its shadows, where once it was the founder of the state and later its seller, once a liberator and later butcher, once a bringer of freedom and then its killer. But who tries to extend it to the monuments and what is left, is either a drunkard or a sellout. Neither is worth going after.
