Fire on Mount Dukat, AF helicopter departs to extinguish flames

The fire on Mount Saint George in Dukat continues today.

This morning, a Ministry of Defense helicopter joined the Fire Department forces. The helicopter has been dropping water on the fires since the early hours of the morning.

The fire in Dukat has remained active for almost 10 days and has been reactivated again, even though it was thought that the flames were finally extinguished 2 days ago.

The fire has burned entire hectares of pine forests while firefighters have been battling the flames to prevent them from spreading south, where Llogora Park is located.
