Fire in Bago, Kavaja, flames approaching homes, air intervention required

A fire has engulfed the Bago area in Kavaja today, with several active fires in different locations.

The Kavaja fire brigade has arrived on the scene and is working to neutralize the flames. A worrying situation was created by the fire approaching two apartments, but the intervention of the firefighters made it possible to stop the spread of the flames.

The fire remains active, but so far no direct danger to homes has been reported. The intervention is continuing with difficulties due to the large area involved and the difficult terrain.

Civil Emergencies in the area are reported to have requested the intervention of a helicopter to extinguish the flames from the air, as in some of the affected areas the terrain does not allow firefighting vehicles to approach.

Meanwhile, forces on the ground continue the operation to isolate the fire sources and protect homes near the area engulfed by flames.
