He needed help, and out of desperation he tried to turn to the famous Italian presenter, Maria de Filippi. It is about the young woman of Albanian origin, Donatella Hodo, who committed suicide in Montorio prison in Italy, last August. The Italian media revealed that she had written a letter to participate in the program "C'e posta per te". But the letter never reached its destination and Maria De Filippi never read it. The letter was returned and it was the girl's father who found it at home.

"I am writing this letter to tell you my story and to ask you for help. My name is Donatella Hodo, I just turned 26 years old. I am of Albanian origin, but I grew up in Italy. Now unfortunately they are in the prison of Montorio. I ended up here because I had a difficult childhood and adolescence with many problems, I didn't have the strength to react and I got into drugs", wrote in the letter the young woman, who ended her life by inhaling the furnace gas in her cell.

Shortly before, she had said goodbye to her fiance with another message: "Leo, I'm sorry." I love you, but it can't go on like this."

Donatella wanted to change her life, so she wrote to Maria De Filippi, probably convinced by the many stories covered in the program of Canale 5. Corriere della Sera writes that most likely, the 26-year-old had the wrong address and the letter did not go never at destination.

"Maria please, I am asking you to help me. I want out of this situation, I want to quit drugs, I want out of jail, I need someone to give me a chance. I am 26 years old, I still have a life ahead of me, I want to settle down, have a future, restore relationships with my wonderful family. Today I have the desire, the courage to change, I need help, to find a job. I want to see my mother's eyes with tears seeing me realized, and not because she is suffering because of me. I ask for it with my hand on my heart," continues the 26-year-old's letter, which further adds: "If you have any opportunity to help me to serve my sentence outside of prison, then it will be up to me to show that there is a desire to made money. I ask you to help me, to give me a chance. I can do many things, and above all, I have regained the desire to live, to recover the lost years, I want to stop destroying myself with my own hands. Now I greet you, hug you from a distance and wait for your answer with all my heart…”
