In a meeting held with journalists on the morning of this Monday, the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani , spoke about some issues which have been in the center of attention in recent times.
One of these issues is the so-called "Xibrakë" file, for which the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi , has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama's brother, Olsi Rama.
The head of SPAK clarified that a criminal proceeding has been registered in connection with this file, as he further emphasized that Gazment Bardhi has no complaint.
"We have registered a criminal proceeding for this matter, while as far as whether Mr. Bardhi filed a report or not, no he did not," Dumani is said to have told reporters.
Gazment Bardhi earlier stated that he had reported the brother of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Olsi Rama, to SPAK, as he claims that the latter is involved in the case of "Xibraka". However, it turned out that Bardhi did not make a report, but only a request for resumption of investigations related to this file.
After that, it was Olsi Rama who filed a report with the highest prosecution body, where he accused Bardhi of "false report". This request of Rama to SPAK was not accepted by SPAK, because Bardhi had not made a report to the Prosecutor's Office, but only a request for the resumption of investigations on "Xibraka".
Prime Minister Edi Rama's brother, Olsi Rama, on May 15, 2024 again reported the democratic deputy to SPAK. In the second report, Olsi Rama referred to a status of Gazment Bardhi made on May 8 on "Facebook", where the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party wrote that SPAK had officially notified him of the resumption of investigations. But, for the second time in a row, the criminal complaint was dismissed.
