Alex Nika's uncle, one of the victims of January 21, Mark Nika, said that his family delivered to SPAK a tape, which he says shows all orders of the Guard command to open fire.

In a television show, he said that Ndrea Prendi, after leaving the Council of Ministers, gave orders to shoot at protesters.

Mark Nika asked that the case be investigated by SPAK, as according to him, it is a very sensitive issue.

"As a family member, we have long awaited this decision. The Strasbourg Court issued a decision that paves the way for the Albanian judiciary to re-open the case once again. It was not fully re-re-renewed for us, as there was no political will. This crime for 13 years remained unpunished, the evidence was broken, full investigations were not carried out and remained in the drawers of the Tirana Prosecution.

We had asked in a SPAK call that a criminal investigation be launched for the former prime minister and minister of interior of the time. Berisha then stated that the killings were carried out to protect power, as there was a coup d'état. The minister of the interior had admitted that the killings were within the legal framework. We asked the Tirana Prosecutor's Office to call and explain these public statements.
