The father of Branko Shkoza, the 33-year-old who was allegedly killed by his friend, Majlind Habibi, has confessed that his son and the perpetrator had been eating and drinking together for 4 years .
He said that on the evening of the murder, December 2, the two were drinking alcohol in a bar with several other people.
The victim's father said that suspicions began with the 35-year-old after the latter did not participate in the search to find Branko Shkoza, and during the night his family had secretly started removing clothes from the apartment where they lived.
"They were together day and night. I became suspicious because the second day I asked him, 'Have you seen Branko?' He looked at me askance and said, 'I haven't seen him,' and left," said the 33-year-old's father, emphasizing that the perpetrator also attended his funeral.
He said that due to the suspicions that had arisen, he also placed people behind to guard the 35-year-old, adding that the incident came to light after a witness decided to confess to the crime.
"After 4 days, a boy from the neighborhood told my neighbor, 'I haven't eaten for 4 days, I want to tell the story, who killed Branko,'" the father declared.
Branko Shkoza's father: It was dark, the enemy was waiting here (pointing to the place). When my son drank, he would lie down on this sofa. According to the records, he took the boy by the hand and took him there.
My suspicion was that the boy had fallen into the reeds, because I saw him about 8 meters from the bridge. But, I still had doubts, even though I thought it was from God because he was drunk, I went to the bridge, because my son had fallen before. But my son never passed by here alone, he lay on the sofa. The women of the neighborhood would bring him to me because I thought the boy was wise, not that my son ran away from me, but so I went looking for him because I knew he was at home after he drank some brandy. He had drunk a glass of brandy. He wouldn't last 2 hours without coming home, when he came out he would tell me I was in x place, this prompted me to look for him.
He didn't come for dinner, and in the morning my grandson told me that "Grandpa Branko didn't come." I suspected he had drowned because he had fallen off the bridge several times before.
I looked and my heart was glad that I didn't find it. I took the 12-meter iron rod, on the day the boy drowned there was about 1 meter of water.
They stayed together day and night. I became suspicious because on the second day I asked him, “Have you seen Branko?” he looked at me askance and said, “I haven’t seen him” and left. I started to get information that has become a rumor. Later, we heard that according to him, he had harassed his wife at home. The perpetrator was aggressive, beat the children, went to his wife with an axe. This prompted me, an aggressive man can do anything and why wouldn’t he look for my son when they stayed together day and night. The whole neighborhood was looking for him, they ate together. We called the boy, he wouldn’t answer the phone. He had said that I had strangled Branko, I had taken him away. There are other things hidden behind this, people I have asked. There are people involved, it’s not a question, the first is his own mother who knows about the crime. When my son was strangled, they started taking his clothes out of the house at night, I said why are they taking his clothes away. They started taking the children away at night, others saw them, secretly taking away their clothes.
Then how can I not come to the funeral of the boy, not ask my wife "Did you find the boy?". I spent 3 nights and 4 days searching with the police officer, we went and caught them all. I asked them and they said they didn't know anything, but they knew from the bar where they drank to the others. After 4 days, a boy from the neighborhood said to my neighbor "I haven't eaten for 4 days, I want to tell the story, who killed Branko".
My son knew how to swim, but there's no way he's going 11 meters away from the bridge. After 4 days, the boy's body surfaced, I saw a black thing, but I thought it was garbage. But it was the boy's back, his sweatshirt.
The other boy brought him a suit from Germany and we recognized him by the label. This friend of his was so heartless that he didn't even look for Branko, who they've been eating and drinking together for four years. My son ran away at 32, at the cemetery I said a word to him that he was hiding behind me. The crime officer told me where you have suspicions, you can keep him, I watched him from the corner of my eye and I had put a man behind him to watch all his actions. This happened without my neighbor telling me about this matter. The boy was found in the water. When the body came out, I didn't think he had fallen from the bridge. But it turned out that he had grabbed him by the neck and pushed him, here. My son drank with 3-4 people, who say they don't know anything, the incident is being solved, everyone is aware. He even came to my funeral, he even ate my bread. My last suspicion was when I invited them for bread, both of them, as brothers, didn't come to my bread.
What makes me cry on the phone? Stop crying because I ran to the cemetery and told him "your father is leaving, I'm leaving you uncovered, I'll throw the dirt another day". I didn't throw the dirt on my son because I went to see the perpetrator because he was running behind people. I didn't share it with friends, the last suspicion was that I bought his children chocolates every day. The police should be close to me, my boys are in a bad situation. Not far from today the mother of the person who committed the crime was coming home, if the boy had seen him. I shouldn't have called the police about what was happening, the state should be on guard for the boys so that this matter can be solved by the state.
