Journalist Sokol Bregu, speaking on MCN about the investigation into the execution of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, said that the Police deployed all resources to investigate this event in record time, as an answer to politics had to be given.

Bregu raised the question of whether citizens wanted for murder will be extradited, pointing out that Albania does not have an extradition agreement with Portugal. According to Bregu, the story from the investigative side is not over, as the suspects have good lawyers and can hide behind legal elements.

"What we should appreciate about the police is the clarification of this murder, quickly in time. At the beginning, when it happened, we had some discussions about the motives, which led to politics, there were accusations and counter-accusations, due to the involvement of the victim in the electoral campaign. Don't we forget that 8 days ago the discussion was political, among the very serious accusations. The democratic leader even accused the government of participating... The complete clarification made us understand one thing, that the police put all their resources and found him, but why not I put the resources for other events that cause indignation in society. We have the capacities and we can solve those murders that shock the public opinion. It was an event that had the notion of politics, they immediately set the structures in motion. It was a difficult murder to it became clear.Meanwhile, in Lezha there may be 7-8 murders per year that are never found.

What I have to appreciate is that this whole revenge saga started for 10 thousand old lek. This shows the mentality, the rudeness, with which the communities in Albania live. Then the blood draw continues. Blood feud has taken a different form in Albania. According to the Canon of Lek Dukagjin, the story was like this, that when you kill you will be buried. Now it takes the blood, but it doesn't stick. This breaks the correct way of respecting the rules of the Canon of Lek Dukagjin. It has changed, but it's not over. These are cases of pure blood feud even though we don't have that full form of blood feud in the family. The first cousin is also involved in this story. According to the rules of the canon, he should not be included, as by rule they must come from the same trunk" - said Sokol Bregu.

The journalist said, among other things, that he believes that the cost and payment for the execution must have been extremely high, reaching figures of 200-300 thousand euros per person.

"Të gjithë persona, shtetas të huaj. Jam kurioz sa janë paguar të gjithë këta. Duhet të jetë para jashtëzakonisht e madhe. Ne s’kemi marrëveshje ekstradimi me Portugalinë. Edhe po ta shpallim në kërkim ndërkombëtar, procedurë që duhet të ketë përfunduar dje në orët e vona të natës, nuk besoj se do kemi fazën finale për arrestimin dhe ekstradimit. Për shtetasit anglezë duhet parë nëse do vijnë, apo thjesht do arrestohen në Angli dhe do merren në pyetje nga prokurorët tanë atje. Është një histori e gjatë, nuk besoj se nga ana hetimore ka përfunduar këtu. Këta janë njerëz që kanë avokatë jashtëzakonisht të mirë, do fshihen pas procedurave ligjore me shtetin shqiptar.  Fakti që kanë lënë gjurmë...Po të shohësh vrasjen, është vrasje eksperte të vrasësh me pistoletë, të godasësh në shenjë duhet të kesh bërë shumë prova. Goditja e parë ka qenë në kokë. Si pushues i janë dukur viktimës, i cili ruhej jashtëzakonisht shumë, ishte i armatosur gjithë kohën.

Mos harrojmë që në TIMS i ke të gjitha të dhënat kriminale, por nuk sheh njeri në këtë lloj forme në policinë shqiptare. Nuk i ndalon njeri, është çështje pasaporte. Ne duhet të lajmëronim dikë që shiko se janë me rekorde.
