At least 37 cases of criminal and other referrals went during the last year to the Prosecutor's Office, Tax Investigation, Money Laundering Prevention or the state police from the High Inspectorate of Wealth Declaration and Conflict of Interest.

In the annual report of this institution, it is underlined that during the period 2014 - 2022, 555 subjects were referred to these institutions, which included high-level management officials, such as deputies of the Assembly of Albania, mayors, judges, prosecutors, directors of general.

During 2022, ILDKPKI has approved and passed into full control a total of 806 declaring entities, both due to function and based on information received from legal sources. In the reporting period, there are a total of 128 administrative measures with "fines".

According to legal provisions, officials have the obligation to declare assets in an electronic system. From the data it appears that the number of declarations administered by the High Inspectorate for 2022 is 3975 declarations of private interests, from which, divided according to their types, the following statistical data result: - Annual Periodic Declaration for Entities in Function (for the declaration year 2021) – 2785 declarations; – Statements Before the Start of Duty (2022) – 544 statements; – Declaration After Leaving the Office (2022) – 438 declarations; – Candidate Statements (2022) – 208 statements.

The Inspectorate estimates that in the cases of imposing fines by officials who were found in violation, there were also cases that ended up in court.

"The High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Control of Assets and Conflict of Interests, during the reporting year, applied a total of 128 sanctions, administrative measures with "fines", for non-declaration of private interests, conflict of interests, as well as for violation of Law no. 60/2016 "On whistleblowing and protection of whistleblowers", amended.

Of these, only 21 decisions have been appealed to the judicial bodies, of which, until the moment of reporting, the court has decided in support of the decisions taken by the ILDKPKI, for 6 decisions.

In addition, for 13 fine administrative measure decisions, which belong to previous years, the trial was completed during the year 2022, and the administrative measure given by the ILDKPKI was decided to remain in force", the report states.

In the meantime, there are at least 33 decisions that have passed as an executive title and that the enforcement has entered into action. At least 11 decisions belong to 2022, while in 38 cases the fines have been paid voluntarily
