Naldo Gjini, the person who was identified the day before as the person who had been seen in recent days driving the car used by the perpetrators in the execution of Mondi Mëhalla in Elbasan, has been arrested.

He has been arrested as an accomplice in the murder of the businessman, an event that occurred on Sunday evening.

Another person suspected of being an accomplice has also been taken into police custody and is being investigated. A third person has been declared wanted.

Businessman Mëhalla had just left an office at the gas station he owned, "Xhaxhi Oil," and entered his "Range Rover" car when he was shot 3 times with pistol bullets, 2 of which hit him in the head, causing his immediate death. According to the dynamics revealed by Elbasan investigators, one of the perpetrators got out of the "Audi" car, approached and fired.

The 43-year-old, who went by two names, was not unknown to the police, with a history of narcotics and illegal possession of weapons. He lived in Tirana in the Paris Municipality area, while he had been expanding his business activities in Elbasan for years.

Currently, owner of the "Xhaxhi Oil" gas station, near which he was executed in the mafia assassination, a recently established taxi service "El Taxi", and until a few years ago owned a well-known bar in Elbasan, "Hollywood Lounge Bar", currently with suspended activity.
