After 14 months of investigation, the prosecutor's office has closed the investigation into the murder of Martin Çeço, and claims that the 26-year-old was strangled and thrown into the reservoir to stage the murder itself.

According to the accusation, the young man was taken out of the apartment by the girl with whom he wanted to have a relationship. While her boyfriend and two others killed her.

According to the prosecution, the incident happened due to jealousy, as the young man wanted to have a relationship with the 19-year-old girl Tina Pajollari, a resident of the village of Marjan.

But Valter Mollaj was interested in her, who, stating that he had a boyfriend, asked the victim to stay away from him.

It took 14 months for the prosecution to finish the file, demanding the punishment of 4 people, Pajollar, Valter Mollaj, the son of the latter's uncle Edlir and the shepherd of Valter's cows, Bleti Angjo, who are currently under arrest and they are charged with "premeditated murder" carried out in cooperation.

On the day of the incident, the above-mentioned perpetrators went by off-road car to the village of Kolanec, from where they took Martin. The girl herself took him out of the apartment to be caught later by the three men.

According to the investigation file, they put the rope on him coming out from behind and then threw him into the water to hide his tracks and to make the scenario more reliable, the two slippers he was wearing were scattered around the shore where one of them was found by family members.

For this reason, suicide was initially suspected. But the marks around the young man's neck found by forensics raised suspicions of murder.
